Sam Rafizad is the Spring 2025 Scoville Fellow for the Middle East Nonproliferation Program at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. Sam graduated with a B.A. in Political Science International Relations, with a minor in History, in 2024 from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His research primarily concerns Iran’s coercive activities in the Middle East, with a particular focus on Iran’s nuclear program and the threats it poses to the nuclear non-proliferation regime. In his free time, Sam enjoys playing the guitar and watching Lakers basketball.
