Bufford joined the International Atomic Energy Agency as a Junior Professional Officer in the Division of Nuclear Security in 2015. She promotes the IAEA’s coordination role in nuclear security-related initiatives through the organization of Information Exchange Meetings and contributes to the analysis of nuclear security related information. She was previously a National Nuclear Security Administration Graduate Program Fellow within the Department of Energy, where she worked for the Office of Fissile Material Disposition, supporting their HEU down-blending mission.
