Sohn is an Emerging Markets Equity Analyst at Tradewinds Investment Management, an independent hedge fund.  Prior to graduate school, he worked as an International Trade Specialist at the Department of Commerce, where he administered a $1.1 million annual budget to foster trade with the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union and contributed to reports to Congress and the Vice President on regional economic assistance programs.  He has also been a policy analyst at SAIC in the Security Studies and Arms Control Support division, where he did work on START implementation and compliance for the Army, and conducted research on the effects of the Russian political climate on US-Russian arms control, the prospects for START III, and the ABM Treaty.  He has also worked at the Russian-American Nuclear Security Advisory Council.
