Magill is CEO of Aetion, a digital health company with a platform that transforms real-world data into the regulatory-grade evidence needed to understand the safety, effectiveness and value of clinical interventions for specific patient populations. She was selected as being among the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs in 2018 by Goldman Sachs. She serves on the Boards of Directors of the Center of Health Policy Development, overseeing the National Academy for State Health Policy and of Parity.org, an entity that aims to support gender parity in business in c-Suites and Board rooms. She was previously Chief Operating Officer of UnitedHealth Care Community Products. She led a health plan focused on improving access to care for over 350,000 members in New Jersey with limited incomes, chronic illnesses or disabilities. Before that she was Vice President for Everard Community Products at UnitedHealth Group, where she was responsible for managing health plans that serve more than 80,000 frail elderly and chronically ill individuals, as well as people who have both Medicare and Medicaid.  She was awarded a 2005-2006 Fellowship in Public Policy from the Hubert Humphrey Policy Institute at the University of Minnesota, whose aim is for fellows to develop an understanding of complex public policy issues while forging relationships with other emerging leaders.
