Stadler is a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State. She is in training en route to a tour in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she will serve as the Assistant General Services Officer. In this role, she will be responsible for many of the tasks that keep the embassy running and its staff safe and comfortable. She recently completed her master’s degree in Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies. During graduate school she was a recipient of the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years. She was previously a Program Coordinator and Research Assistant at the Project on Nuclear Issues at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. In this capacity, she managed PONI’s Mid-Career Cadre, a program intended to provide educational and developmental opportunities for professionals who have been in the nuclear field for five or more years. She was also the lead junior staff researcher for a Carnegie Corporation of New York-funded project examining how emerging technologies that enhance or degrade strategic situational awareness impact strategic stability in the nuclear domain.
