Strawmyer is the Program Director of STAND: The Student-Led Movement to End Mass Atrocities. She directs the day to day operations of STAND, including planning and execution of campaigns and programming, advocacy actions, strategic outreach and growth, budgeting, and national communications. She oversees the 12-student Managing Committee and outreach to over 50 campus chapters. She was previously the Policy and Advocacy Manager at the Alliance for Peacebuilding, where she was hired at the conclusion of her fellowship. She worked actively with Congress and executive agencies to further a peacebuilding agenda, in concert with AfP members. She also facilitated four affinity groups: Women & Peacebuilding, Nonviolent Action & Peacebuilding, Electoral Violence, and Countering Violent Extremism.
