Potter is the Director of Community at Geocaching HQ in Seattle, Washington. She manages a team of 12 staff who are directly responsible for HQ’s interactions with its global community of millions of geocachers. Team responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, creating inspiring social media content, supporting 400 community volunteers, and establishing and enforcing the rules of the game. Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunt, with more than three million active geocaches worldwide.

…The Scoville Fellowship brought me to DC. I probably would never have had the courage to start my career in the nation’s capital, but receiving the Fellowship gave me the incentive (and the confidence) to do so. I spent four months at the Committee for National Security, broadening into environmental protection issues after my stint as a fellow.
